Railroad Earth, Yonder Mountain String Band, Karl Denson, More


Hangtown Music Festival will return in October for its final year before organizers drop the name. The festival will take place in its new home at Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, CA from October 20-23 with programming featuring railroad land, Yonder Mountain String Band, The Little Universe of Karl Denson, mother’s hipsand more.

Host band Railroad Earth will play three sets over the weekend, and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe will perform A Diesel Insane: The Music of David Bowie, a late-night tribute to the Thin White Duke. Hangtown 2022 lineup will also include a beloved bluegrass quintet The Comatose BrothersAfrobeat set Polyrhythmicsdirected by a singer-songwriter Ryan Monbleau Grouphusband and wife folk duo ordinary elephantamerican outfit AJ Lee and the Blue Topand indie folk rockers wild swing. More artists will soon be added to the Hangtown lineup.

Founded in 2011 as the Hangtown Halloween Ball, the Hangtown Music Festival was previously held at El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville, California. The fall festival has become a regional favorite, drawing larger and larger crowds each year. Hangtown Music Festival 2022 will mark the end of an era as event organizers plan to retire the name once and for all.

Blind Faith tickets are still available, but the festival announced in a social media post that only 100 general admission tickets remain at the lowest tier.
