ArtWalk @ Liberty Station announces its return to Ingram Plaza on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7 at ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station. This marks 17 years of the fine arts fair bringing the visual arts to the historic San Diego community throughout the weekend. Attendees can wander the garden browsing the works of more than 150 artists and enjoy food, wine and beer, and live entertainment during the free two-day event in the largest arts and culture district in San Diego.
ArtWalk @ Liberty Station will be held at Liberty Station’s Ingram Plaza at 2751 Dewey Road.
- Saturday 8/6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sunday 8/7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The art exhibit will take place in the heart of Liberty Station at Ingram Plaza among 100,000 square feet of park-like space, with its towering American flag surrounded by a rose garden and large areas of grass and trees. . Locals and visitors will have the opportunity to purchase artwork from local, national and international artists in a variety of mediums.
All art mediums will be on display, including painting, sculpture, glassware, fine jewelry, photography, and more. The Liberty Station venue also gives attendees the opportunity to visit a wide range of galleries and studios of working artists. Attendees can spend the day exploring art of all kinds at this event. In addition to the artwork, guests will also enjoy performances by local bands and musicians, as well as a beer and wine pavilion, as well as sweet and savory bites from various restaurants.
Each of ArtWalk San Diego’s three annual festivals supports its nonprofit partner, ArtReach San Diego, a nonprofit organization working to increase equity in visual arts education in K-8 schools across San Diego County. San Diego by offering free or low-cost workshops to schools that have no other art resources, focusing on Title One schools. Many programs offered by ArtReach are provided free of charge to schools. This year, ArtReach San Diego will be hosting a fundraiser throughout the weekend. Over 100 pairs of Vans shoes donated by Vans Fashion Valley will be designed by visual artists and auctioned off.
